Paradise Lost - The Painless (Mix)

Locked inside this peaceful tomb
Entwined on seas of endless bliss

The painless...
Strength is released
The horror passes through our eyes

Diversions cast upon our souls
The meek shall inherit our fears

Stray from this tranquil place
Guarded by all fear
Submit now to this curse
In out plight for existence
Reach the sky not falling down
Sunlight shines in heaven
Stray from this tranquil place

Madonna 'ecstatic' over adoption

Madonna with adopted son David BandaMadonna previously adopted Malawian boy David Banda

Madonna has said she is "ecstatic" after her bid to adopt a second child was approved by a Malawian court.

The 50-year-old had appealed after a lower court rejected her original application to adopt Chifundo "Mercy" James, four, over residency issues.

But the appeals court said the star's commitment to helping disadvantaged children had not been considered.

"My family and I look forward to sharing our lives with her," Madonna said in a statement.

She said she was "extremely grateful" to the court for its ruling.

Madonna's lawyer Alan Chinula said he was arranging a passport for Mercy and was waiting to hear from Madonna about travel plans for the child.

Mercy's uncle Peter Baneti said the family welcomed the ruling.

"We hope Mercy will be joining Madonna soon," he said.

Better life

The southern African state's chief justice, Lovemore Munlo, praised Madonna's interest in helping Malawian orphans and said the child would have a better life with the star.

The singer has founded a charity, Raising Malawi, which helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi's one million-plus orphans.

"In our view, Chifundo James is better taken care of by being adopted by foreign parents who will give her love and affection," he said during the appeal hearing.

She was also financially stable, he added.

"In this global village, a man can have more than one place at which he resides.

"The matter of residence should be determined at the time of application of the adoption.

"In this case, Madonna was in Malawi not by chance but by intention."

Madonna's commitment to Malawian orphans meant she could "not be described as a sojourner", he added.

Judge Esmie Chondo ruled out the adoption in April, saying prospective parents had to be resident in Malawi for 18 months.

Those rules were waived in 2006 when Madonna adopted a boy, David, from the southern African state.

Raising Malawi

Child welfare groups had argued that the residency rule was central to adoptions, and that Malawian parents should be sought before children were placed overseas.

The appeals court said the earlier decision had been based on a narrow interpretation of old laws.

But the appeal ruling has been criticised by Malawi's Human Rights Consultative Committee - a coalition of non-governmental organisations.

Undule Mwakasungula said the judge had "disregarded" international agreements on children's rights and adoptions.

"We are a bit surprised but we can't challenge it because the supreme court has ruled and we have to go with that," he said.

Mercy has been living in an orphanage since her teenage mother died shortly after giving birth.

Madonna also has two biological children - Lourdes, 12, and Rocco, aged eight.

Last month, the man believed to be Mercy's father, told US TV programme The Early Show he opposed the adoption and wanted to look after her - even though he had never met her.

After the appeal court's decision, he told CBS News: "I'm crying. I need my baby. I don't know where I can find any help."

Dire Straits - Coyote

Don't let a little road dust put you off
You can't judge a book
Well you know that stuff
There's a tear in my upholstery
And a hole in my shoe
But don't you just wish that you could
Make half of the speed I do
Speed I do, speed I do, speed I do

You can't catch me Coyote
Though there may be blood on the tracks
There may be some bridges burning
Behind our backs
But I got my laundry on the backseat
And an itinerary too
And don't you just wish that you could
Make half of the speed I do
Speed I do, speed I do, speed I do
Speed I do, speed I do, speed I do

Now I'm a speck on your horizon
Getting smaller fast
An ambush wouldn't be surprising
I hope it's better than your last

Once again the roadrunner
Leaves the coyote in the dust
You've got another plan of action
But we all know it ain't never gonna work
It must be hard having dog dreams
That never come true
And don't you just wish that you could
Make half of the speed I do
Speed I do, speed I do, speed I do
Speed I do, speed I do, speed I do
Don't let a little road dust put you off

Nirvana - Floyd The Barber

Nirvana - Floyd The Barber

you people are so retarded, Kurt wrote 90% of the lyrics for bleach the night before recording, he has stated many times he didnt care if the lyrics meant anything, just as long as they fit with the rhythm of the song.... Quit trying to over complicate and over think his lyrics, if your a TRUE nirvana fan you would know that Kurt hated nothing more than people like you trying to make his songs out to be something there not.

Gavin and Stacey 'say goodbye'

Gavin and Stacey 'say goodbye'By Greg CochraneNewsbeat entertainment reporter

Smithy (James Corden) and Gavin (Mathew Horne)Rehearsals of the final Gavin and Stacey series start next Monday

Gavin and Stacey writer and star James Corden says he's "very sad" as the cast prepare for the third and final series of the hit TV show.

Rehearsals commence on 8 June, with filming starting on 15 June.

Corden, who plays Neil 'Smithy' Smith, in the show said: "It's an emotional time because we're saying goodbye to these characters that we love.

"So the whole thing is very sad and I just hope it can be as good as possible."

However, 31-year-old Corden did not rule out working with co-writer Ruth Jones following the series' conclusion.

He added: "You know, when we wrote the words, 'This really is the end, the end', we were both a bit welled up and we looked at each other and we were sure that's it. I just hope it's good enough.

"Ruth and I, we'd like to write something else again but we're inevitably not going to spend as much time locked in a room together."

Hollywood bound

The comedian and actor is also starring in the Hollywood production of Jonathan Swift's book Gulliver's Travels, alongside Jack Black and Emily Blunt.

"I play a character called Jinks. I just pop up throughout it," said Corden. "I'm the king's assistant and the king is played by Billy Connolly so essentially it's the best job in the world, I get to hang around with him all day.

"My trailer is the same size as it is on Gavin and Stacey. The only difference is I have to walk further to get to it," he joked.

"I have to walk past bigger trailers to get to my little rabbit hutch in the corner. I can't tell you how true that is."

The final series of Gavin and Stacey is yet to have a confirmed transmission date.

Faith Evans - Where We Stand

[]Where We Stand

Is it too soon to love you
Why do I believe it's perfect
Could it be I'm scared to take a chance
Thinkin we are moving fast
And I don't know where we stand,
I don't know where we stand

[Faith]
Today you said some things to me
That made it plain for me to see
And now I do believe
That there's a chance for you and me
Elated I would be
If it became reality
I'll put away my fears
Cause only fait has brought us here

Is it too soon to love you
(When i just meet you the other day)
Why do believe it's perfect
(Enspired by all the things you say)
Could it be I'm scared to take a chance (Could it be)
Think that we are moving fast (Woah)
And I don't know where we stand, (I don't know where)
I don't know where we stand

[Faith]
It's just a few days but I'm open wide
Or maybe I should take my time
I'm thinkin' that where moving fast but I want you bad
My mind is telling me one thing(One Thing)
But my body says another
I wanna be your lover

Is it too soon to love you
Oh When I just met you the other day
Why do I believe it's perfect
Enspired by all the things you say
Could it be I'm scared to take a chance (I don't know)
Think that we are moving to fast
And I don't know where we stand (I don't know, I don't know where we stand)

[Faith]
It's hard to figure out
In the back of my mind there's so much doubt
Why do I look for clues
When there's no reason to question you
It's only natural
I Just gotta wait and see
Will we ever prosper
Will we ever be

Tell me is too soon to love
When i just met you the other day
Could it be that(Is it to soon to love you) I'm scared to take a chance (I
wanna know)
Deep inside I don't know where we stand (Yea Baby)

Is it too soon to love you
Ooh When I just met you the other day
Why do I believe it's perfect
And I'm enspired by all the things you say
Could it be I'm scared to take a chance (Could it be oohohohoh)
Think that we are moving fast
And I don't know where we stand, (I don't know, i don't know)
I don't know where we stand

Is it too soon to love you
Why do I believe it's perfect (I believe it yea, yea, yea)
Could it be I'm scared to take a chance

Barbra Streisand - We're Not Makin' Love Anymore

Here we are,
Just going through the motions one more time,
You're lookin' in my eyes, but you don't see me...
Here I am, feeling like a stranger in your arms,
I touch you, I hold you, but lately I don't know you...
Something is wrong but we go on from day-to-day,
And we just pretend it all away,
We act like nothing's changed,
But in our hearts we know it's not the same...

Cause we're not makin? love anymore,
Baby we're not makin? love like before,
We may hold each other tight,
Say that everything's all right,
But we're not makin? love...

Remember when you couldn't wait to run into my arms,
When the love inside my heart was all you needed,
Remember when you made me wish the night would never end,
The fire, the thunder, we lived to love each other,
If ever two hearts were one, then it was yours and mine,
But that was another place in time,
Now all we have to show,
Are memories of a dream we used to know...

Cause we're not makin? love anymore,
Baby we're not makin? love like before,
We may hold each other tight,
Say that everything's all right,
But we're not makin? love...

When did we lose our way, we had it all,
Don't know how it all just slipped away,
But oh, can we get it back again,
Is it too late, can we try,
Just one time, ?cause darling...

Cause we're not makin? love anymore,
Baby we're not makin? love like before,
We may hold each other tight,
Say that everything's all right,
But we're not makin'...

We're not makin' love anymore,
Baby we're not makin? love like before,
Can we find a way to try,
Find the magic one more time,
Cause we're not makin? love...
